SPEED MEDIA- After a month off from racing due to weather and Covid restrictions, the KCP Team hit the ground running at Volusia Speedway Park with the World of Outlaws on March 5th. Gio qualified 7th putting him starting 3rd in heat one where he raced his way into the dash by finishing 2nd. Scheduled to start 5th in the dash, Haudenschild wasn't able to make the start moving Scelzi up the 4th spot. The #18 would advance one position giving Scelzi the inside second row starting spot for the 30-lap A Main. After an up and down feature event, Gio made a last-lap pass to round out the podium. It was Scelzi’s first night with trusted crew chief and friend Bernie Stuebgen of Indy Race Parts. “It’s huge, it’s like getting the band back together,” Scelzi said on working with Stuebgen again, who he won his first two Outlaw races with. “I’m feeling comfortable and confident with myself. If we keep running like this, the wins will come eventually.”
