Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (March 1, 2021) – The ninth year for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division begins this weekend at Red Dirt Raceway, which hosts the 4th annual Spring Nationals.
The dirt oval in Meeker, Okla., welcomes the three premier series divisions – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class – on Friday and Saturday. It marks the third straight season that Red Dirt Raceway kicks off the NOW600 Series schedule in the state of Oklahoma.
This weekend also represents the first two nights of four total visits to the bullring this season.
A dozen NOW600 Series dates have been contested at Red Dirt Raceway and parity has been key thus far.
Eight different drivers have scored a Stock Non-Wing triumph in 10 career races. The only drivers with two wins are Frank Flud and Daison Pursley.
The first seven Winged ‘A’ Class main events were won by different drivers before Flud has captured the last four.
Seven racers have at least one Restricted ‘A’ Class triumph with Ryan Timms, Ryder Laplante and Shawn Mahaffey each garnering two trips to Victory Lane.
The pits open at 3 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pits open at 1 p.m. and main gates at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Racing is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Nightly ticket costs are $15 for general admission, $5 for high school students and younger, and $30 for a pit pass.
There is a practice night on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.
