Taylor Reimer Aboard Dave Mac Motorsports Stable

Belleville, IL. (02/23/2020) The winningest female in Port City Raceway history books, Taylor Reimer out of Tulsa, Oklahoma jumps aboard the Dave Mac Motorsports team for the 2021 season. Alongside well-known teammates Cannon McIntosh and Tanner Thorson, Reimer will have a great opportunity to learn from arguably some of the best in midget racing. As this will be her rookie season, Reimer is looking to lock up the Rookie of the Year title with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League for the 2021 season.

“I am looking forward to running the full 2021 POWRi National Midget series, along with several USAC National races for Dave Mac Motorsports. I’m excited to be back behind the wheel and develop my overall skills as a driver. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a team with a great crew and talented drivers. I look forward to learning as much as I can from them. I have high expectations for both myself and my team. I believe we will have a lot of success this season.” Reimer commented when asked about this season.

A little fun fact that most people don’t know about the talented Taylor Reimer, she is a full-time student at Oklahoma University as well as a full-time cheerleader. Reimer took a few years off of racing to pursue her college degree and her cheerleading career. At the end of the 2020 race season, she decided to pick up racing and chase her dreams to the top. “Balancing school, cheer, and racing is definitely not easy. I try my best to stick to a consistent routine throughout the week. There are times when I lose motivation and get overwhelmed, but then I remember how blessed I am to do what I love every day. None of this would be possible without the support from my family and friends, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. My long-term goals in racing are, like most other drivers, to make it to Nascar. After running a couple of seasons in the midget, my plan is to switch from dirt to pavement racing and then work my way up to Nascar.”

Reimer climbed into the Dave Mac Motorsports #28 for a few races at the end of the season in 2021 and already has a few races under her belt this season. “The races at the end of last year were mainly for me to get comfortable in the car again and to work with my team to figure out what works best for me. I’m super happy with my performance at Ocala a couple of weeks ago, where I picked up my first heat race win with USAC. It was a major confidence booster. I have already learned so much within the last couple of months and I’m excited to see what my team and I can accomplish this upcoming season.”

Reimer and the Dave Mac Motorsports team will be in attendance for the two day show at Monarch Motor Speedway, Friday, March 19th and Saturday March 20th. The team is looking to have a great season and put wins under their belts.
