Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints Schedules 24 Races in 2021

Belleville, IL. (01/19/2021) Constantly offering top-notch Lightning Sprint racing year-after-year the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Association aims to continue the on-track excitement in 2021 with twenty-four dates of competition scheduled. Including a pair of POWRi Lightning Sprint National Events, the RMLSA will also deliver a few battling features the added thrill of going traditional, with four race-dates scheduled for non-wing racing action.

Starting the season in style on Saturday, May 1st at I-76 Speedway the POWRi RMLSA will visit the familiar venue on five separate occasions throughout the season. With racing dates in Fort Morgan Colorado continuing June 5th for the Al Wilson Memorial, July 3rd, July 17th for the Don Flood Memorial, with the final appearance of the year at the track going non-wing on August 7th.

El Paso County Raceway will serve as the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lighting Sprint home facility, hosting a series-leading six races throughout 2021. Competitive racing dates at Calhan, Colorado includes May 8th, June 12th, July 10th, non-wing on August 14th, September 11th, and then finalizing the season with Championship Night on September 25th.

Memorial Day Weekend, on May 29-30, will mark the return of the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals, hosted in 2021 at Central Missouri Speedway with the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints. After a successful event at Lake Ozark Speedway in 2019, the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals would be removed from the scheduling at Belle-Clair Speedway in 2020, due to Covid-19 regulations, making the return in 2021 even more highly anticipated. Central Missouri Speedway aims to get the action back on-track as drivers prepare for this one-of-a-kind weekend of national competition with two separate dates of excitement-laden racing action.

Doubling down on the number of POWRi National Lightning Sprint Events in 2021 as RMLS drivers could make the long journey to the north for the inaugural POWRi Lightning Sprint Summer Shootout. From August 12th through August 15th, outstanding racing venues in North Dakota and Minnesota as well as the POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint series host top-notch sprinters to test their talents in a challenging two-state four-day sweep of racing glory.

Pueblo, Colorado will also see their share of POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint speed by welcoming in drivers for five separate events throughout the upcoming season as Honor Speedway hosts on May 15th, June 19th, non-wing on July 31st and September 4th, then back with the wing on at the Frank Potoker Classis on September 10th.

Rounding out the nine-track-twenty-four-race-date schedule, finds the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Association at Holyoke, Colorado for a pair of wing features at Phillips County Raceway on June 4th and July 2nd.
