Inside Line Promotions – LUBBOCK, Texas (Dec. 3, 2020) – Brenham Crouch spent the 2020 racing season setting himself up for 2021 by driving four different race cars in events from coast to coast.
Crouch spent the bulk of his season racing midgets, driving a Toyota Racing sponsored car for Keith Kunz Motorsports. He also piloted a family owned sprint car and micro sprint, and he made a start in a pavement late model.
“It’s definitely the most active I’ve been in a race car,” he said. “I feel like it was a huge learning curve, but every car I got in we got over the hump and I put myself in a good spot for next year. I’m excited to see how it progresses.”
Crouch captured a feature victory in a micro sprint and he powered to a top 10 during his first career start in the 360ci winged sprint car division, but he gained the most experience behind the wheel of a midget.
“I have the most laps in a midget this year and the midget is the most fun right now,” he said. “You’re always on your toes. They are all-around fun to drive and Keith Kunz Motorsports provides a great opportunity.”
Crouch is committed to running even more shows next year with the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series and the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League.
“The biggest thing I learned this year is that the beginning of the night is the most important, whether it’s USAC in qualifying or POWRi in your heat race,” he said. “It’s really hard to dig yourself out of that hole so you have to be on point from the start of each night.
“I hope that this year was the first building block to hopefully something big. We were thrown to the wolves and had to figure it out. I’m happy with the season and what we learned, and I’m looking forward to an even better 2021.”
