In a year full of rookie drivers, one of the most consistent since joining the series ranks has been Kyle Spence. Spence made his debut in the series second race of the season at the Big Diamond Speedway, and scored a top ten finish in his first ever feature event.
The accomplished micro sprint winner, and champion, who has collected a Golden Driller during the Tulsa Shootout, ended his 2020 Rookie Campaign collecting two heat race victories, with nine feature event starts, nine top ten finishes, two top five finishes, and a podium finish in the October event at the Georgetown Speedway.
Spence and the Betts Racing team were consistent all year with Spence running consistently inside the top ten, and toward the end of the season, team mate Troy Betts also began to make series starts and was fast out of the gate as well.
Spence had a great stretch from the September event at the Delaware International Speedway, to the October event at the Georgetown Speedway where he gradually improve his feature event finishing position by at least one position in four straight events, culminating with his third place run at the Georgetown Speedway.
While 2021 plans for Spence and the Betts Racing team are not yet known to the series, we certainly hope that the pairing will again return to the series trail and compete for feature event wins on the 2021 series schedule!
