Crouch Bound for California for USAC Races at Bakersfield and Merced

Inside Line Promotions – QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (Nov. 17, 2020) – Brenham Crouch has a trio of USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series races on tap this week.

Crouch will drive a Toyota Racing backed Keith Kunz Motorsports midget on Tuesday at Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, Calif., and on Friday and Saturday at Merced Speedway in Merced, Calif. It will mark his debut at both tracks.

“We picked up on Arizona Speedway really fast last weekend and sat on the pole one night,” he said. “We had really good car speed. I feel like we’re picking up on stuff. I think we had a top-five car and I made a few mistakes. If we can pick up a top five during the next few nights I’ll be happy and that will give us great momentum going into next year.”

Crouch has watched some video on previous races at Bakersfield Speedway to prepare for Tuesday’s race.

“Bakersfield is comparable to some tracks in the Midwest so I’m super excited,” he said. “We don’t have much time to adjust to the new tracks, but I know that Keith Kunz and the team prepare great cars to give me an opportunity to be successful.”

The two-day event at Merced Speedway offers up a smaller track for Crouch, who is used to racing on the elbows-up bullrings.

“I feel like my strong suit is the smaller tracks so I’m really looking forward to this weekend,” he said. “Hopefully we can continue to improve each night and put together a top-five performance from start to finish.”
