Inside Line Promotions – GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (Nov. 3, 2020) – Brian Brown has one final weekend on the racing schedule to cap a hectic 2020 season.
“It’s been a little bit of a different year,” he said. “When all this stuff started with the pandemic I was hopeful we’d get 25 races in and we’re in the mid-60s. The tracks and the associations did a great job to make sure we have places to race, a lot of them with full crowds.”
UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the World of Outlaws Last Call with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series
“We’re looking forward to getting back to Charlotte,” Brown said. “It will be different with this year not being the World Finals. It’s still a huge event that can catapult you into your winter. You have a couple of good runs down there and you forget what happened in June and July. The guys have done a great job in the shop of dotting every ‘i’ and crossing every ‘t.’
“Charlotte races like a different type of track, like a half mile at times and it can race as a small 3/8 mile at times. It gets good and slick. There’s usually a top, a bottom and a middle. They do a great job of making a great track. If your car is good enough you can pass.
“I think we’ve had a top five all but one or two years we’ve went down there. I feel we have a good opportunity. It’s a little different because you’re not qualifying on the first night. This year if you’re off a little the first night you can make adjustments and it won’t hurt you for the second night.”
SEASON STATS –
62 races, 5 wins, 14 top fives, 26 top 10s, 35 top 15s, 45 top 20s
