Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (Nov. 3, 2020) – The season concludes this Saturday for Old School Racing driver Channin Tankersley.
82 Speedway in Petty, Texas, hosts the 2nd annual Paul Peters Memorial featuring the season finale for the Sprint Car Bandits.
It will be Tankersley’s second visit to the track this season. He finished second at the dirt oval on May 30.
“It’s actually a pretty cool place,” he said. “It’s a new track that was built within the last few years. It’s really wide and really fast. It’s either hammer down and rough or slick and lays rubber. I’ve never been there when it’s had a cushion up top and been slick through the middle.”
Tankersley has earned a podium finish during four of his five starts with the Sprint Car Bandits this season. He enters the event ranked sixth in the championship standings – only 22 points out of fifth – despite missing multiple races this season.
“We have been consistent with them,” he said. “The goal is to compete for the win on Saturday. We have a couple this year and it’d be great as we wrap up our season to add one more.”
