Belleville, IL. (10/22/2020) Christopher Townsend of La Porte, TX. only visited with the POWRI Engler Machine & Tool Micro Sprint League a few times this year. Townsend joined Frank Gaulsha Development for the 2019 race season, found some speed and rejoined for the 2020 season.
Townsend has been behind the wheel of some sort of race car since a young age, winning races all across the boards. Townsend has made his way up into the POWRi Micros and is finding himself to grow and learn. Joining the Frank Galusha Development behind the wheel of the No. 6 Townsend has had three top ten finished in 11 races this season.
After the championship race at !-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, OK. Townsend finished in the 12th position and was ultimately crowned the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Micro Sprint League Rookie of the Year.
