Bryan Hulbert – LONGDALE, Okla. (October 20, 2020) Rolling into the final rounds of the 2020 season with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products, the next round of action will see the series at Longdale Speedway on Saturday, October 24.
Situated in western Oklahoma, the last visit to the three-eighths-mile oval by an ASCS Series came on July 25, 2015, with the former Red River Region. Just coming back from injury, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. was the victor over Andy Shouse with Kade Morton taking the final podium step.
With three rounds left in the 2020 lineup, Sean McClelland leads tour standings by a slim seven points over Jeremy Campbell going into this weekend. Avery Goodman holds third with Brandon Anderson and Fred Mattox making up the top five.
The second night of racing on the weekend at Longdale Speedway, the Terry Mattox promoted event kicks off Friday, October 23, with Champ/RaceSaver Sprint Cars, USRA Modifieds, and Limited Modifieds. Saturday, October 24 swaps Champ/RaceSaver Sprint Cars for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.
Friday, October 23 opens at 4:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CT). Saturday, October 24 moves up to 2:00 P.M. opening with cars on track at 6:00 P.M. (CT). Admission each night is $15 for adults, $10 for youth 11-14, and free for kids 10 and under. Pit Passes are $35.
