Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 8, 2020) – Brian Brown will wrap up his six-week stay in the Northeast this weekend when he invades Port Royal Speedway for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series’ Nittany Showdown.
Brown, who raced in the 58th annual Champion Racing Oil National Open last weekend at Williams Grove Speedway, earned a podium during a World of Outlaws event at Port Royal Speedway last year.
Oct. 2 – Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Qualifying: 11; Heat race: 5 (6); Feature: 28 (18).
“We just didn’t qualify as well as we wanted and that put us behind the eight ball all weekend,” Brown said.
Oct. 3 – Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Qualifying: 9; Heat race: 6 (5); B Main: 4 (3); Feature: 17 (24).
“We were pretty good in the A Main and had a legitimate shot at a top 10 from 24th as we were up to 14th at one time, but I got a bit anxious a couple of times before the break and cost us a few positions,” Brown said.
UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., for the Nittany Showdown with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series
“I’m looking forward to it,” Brown said. “We brought out a fresh car and fresh engine. We’ve shown speed here in the past and I feel like we found some things that should make us even better. I’m looking forward to finishing off our East Coast trip with two good runs.”
