PETERSEN MEDIA: As the month of July winds down and the dog days of Summer continue to heat up, Factory Kahne drivers continue to stay hot as drivers posted five wins, and two quick times all across the country and in Canada this weekend.
With the World of Outlaws heading across the Canadian border Friday night, Factory Kahne drivers Brad Sweet and Paul McMahan had huge nights. Sweet piloted his Kasey Kahne Racing/Red Bull backed entry to quick time, while McMahan picked up his third win of 2011 aboard his KKR/Roth Motorsports entry.
On Friday night at the Lernerville Speedway, current point leader, Carl Bowser used his Factory Kahne shocks to full advantage as he picked off another win in 2011.
In California, young Rico Abreu picked up another top finish as he grabbed second as the rookie driver inches closer to his first win in either a 360ci or 410 ci sprint car.
Saturday night the winning continued as current World of Outlaws points leader, Jason Meyers, picked up the win at Autodrome Drummond in Quebec while Sweet continued to stay fast as he kicked the night off with a new track record. Aside from the win, Factory Kahne drivers held three of the top five finishing positions in the feature.
Elsewhere across the country Saturday night Giovani and Dominic Scelzi picked up Micro Sprint wins in LeMoore, CA as Giovani won in the restricted class, while Dominic took top billing in the 600 feature.
