RACE OF CHAMPIONS TQ MIDGET SERIES 2ND ANNUAL”HARRY MACY CLASSIC” TO PAY $509.70

Race of Champions TQ Midget Series competitors will have the opportunity to honor the legendary leader of TQ Midget racing in Western New York, Harry Macy, with the running of the 2nd Annual Harry Macy Classic on Sunday, September 27 as a prelude to the 70th Annual Race of Champions 250. The 29-lap race will pay $509.70-to-win and $100 to start.

On Saturday, September 26, the NYPA TQ Midget Series will take part in a 20 lap feature event as a points paying race in the NYPA program.

For the Sunday, September 27, race teams may run their NYPA TQ Midget Series tires, however, a Hoosier MG5 right rear tire will be required. Teams wishing to run Hoosier tires on all four corners may do so.

This is an effort to strengthen the TQ Midget program across the region. When the season concludes it is the intent of Race of Champions management to work with Hoosier racing tire to build a new, more efficient TQ Midget tire for all corners of the car.

In addition, Race of Champions and NYPA Series management is proud to announce the introduction of a unique program for the 2021 season, which will be the presented by Printed Image of Buffalo, the official printer for the Race of Champions Modified Series. “The Printed Image Cup” will go to the driver that can earn the best performance in both the Race of Champions and NYPA TQ Series events and the first “Cup” will be handed out at Lake Erie Speedway, based on the best performance by any driver during the two race weekend.

“This is great program to help bring TQ Midget racing together,” stated Rich Zavarella, Sr., the owner of Printed Image of Buffalo. “Our family has long been a part of TQ Midget racing throughout our region, which includes Western New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Canada and we are always looking at ways to make it better. We felt this was a great way to bring things together. We are looking forward to a great weekend at Lake Erie and even better 2021 season.”

All TQ Midget registration for the event will be done through the Race of Champions website for the event.

Tickets may be purchased for the weekend and will be available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office or at www.lakeeriespeedway.com.
