Sandia Speedway Remains Steady for POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association

Belleville, IL. (08/31/2020) Succumbing to weather elements over the past weekend, the POWRi Lucas Oil New Mexico Motor Racing Association would not see racing action at their home-track of Sandia Speedway for their scheduled non-wing sprinting event.

So far in the shortened 2020 racing season, the POWRi NMMRA 360 traditional sprints have contested in four separate feature races with Don Grable gaining the edge in the previous racing bout. Caleb Saiz, also gaining a feature victory, stands atop the points standings by using consistency and poise in hopes of gaining a championship. Sitting only nineteen points behind Saiz, Spencer Hill is well within reach with a pair of races left on the racing season.

Next on the schedule for the POWRi Lucas Oil New Mexico Motor Racing Association will be a return trip to their home track of Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, September 19th. Pit Gates open at 4 PM, with Hot Laps scheduled for 6 PM, and racing action to follow.
