Second Annual Lake Ozark Speedway Non-Wing Nationals Looms for POWRi WAR

Belleville, IL. (08/25/2020) Adding to the already action-packed racing program, the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League will take part in their 2nd Annual Lake Ozark Speedway Non-Wing Nationals competing for $2000 to win each night of the 11th Annual Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals on September 5th and 6th.

Combining two marquee events into one of the biggest racing spectacles in the country, the one-third-mile dirt-oval in Eldon, Missouri has added more excitement to the running program of the 11th Annual 360 Nationals at Lake Ozark Speedway. Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League, ASCS Warrior Region, and POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprints will all tackle the racing surface for their shot at glory in two stand-alone shows for the weekend of competition.

Last season with the POWRi WAR Sprint League #28 Kory Schudy would have speedy success all weekend. Initially, by placing a very close 2nd to Wesley Smith on night one, Schudy would park his Sawyer Racing hot-rod in victory lane on the second night of racing, earning the honor of being crowned the first-ever Lake Ozark Speedway Non-Wing Nationals Champion.

The Second Annual Lake Ozark Speedway Non-Wing Nationals will be the final weekend for driver’s trying to crack into the top twenty-four in season standings heading into the I-70 Motorsports Park Innovational September 11th and 12th.

Support class for both nights of racing action will be the always entertaining POWRi RaceSaver 305 Wing Sprints in their final appearance at Lake Ozark Speedway for the 2020 season. Points are about as close as any fan could ask for with only seven points separating the top two competitors with Kenny Potter holding a slight marginal advantage over Danny Clark. Can Potter maintain the seasonal edge onto the championship, or will Clark close the gap and overtake for first in the final race weekend?
