Justin Henderson was one spot out of the redraw after qualifying heat races on Friday night at Rapid Speedway. His fifth row starting spot wasn’t too much to overcome as he’d charge to the win of the event sanctioned by Property Solutions Of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series, DeKalb/Asgrow Midwest Power Series and Carpet Land Nebraska 360s.
Jack Dover was on the opposite end of the points spectrum after the heats, Dover was top point driver and drew the pole of the feature. However, mechanical problems set in with just one lap counted. Dover then went pitside, ending his night.
Dusty Ballenger took over the top spot, but Henderson was hooked up on the top side of the track and ripped the top of turn two to the lead on lap six.
Henderson would set sail from there and take the $2,000 payday. The race for second was epic with Ballenger just holding off Jody Rosenboom for the spot. Brant O’Banion was fourth with Eric Lutz in fifth.
Joey Danley picked up the AutoLand Hard Charger award. He finished sixth after coming out of the B main to line up outside row 11.
