Morgantown, PA — Kenny Miller III is ready for his next motorsports challenge, and he won’t have to wait long…the challenge awaits him this weekend. The Racing Millers out of Morgantown, PA, have purchased an established sprint car operation and Kenny, the soon-to-be junior at Millersville University, will make his Rapid Tire Service USAC East Coast 360 Sprint Car debut this Friday when the series visits Bedford Speedway. If all goes well at Bedford, Miller will gas it up again, just 24 hours later, at Port Royal in a two-race weekend for the up-and-coming wingless sprint car organization.

Miller’s new ride sports a DRC chassis that only has a few races on it. The power comes from HP Engines, and the car will wear his familiar No. 23m. The 20-year-old Miller is no stranger to wingless competition, as he progressed from quarter-midgets to micro sprints at the age of 12. He was wrestling a 600cc micro when he was just 15, and Kenny also spent some time in a midget, where he was the final ARDC Rookie of the Year in 2017.

Non-wing 600’s have become his forte` as he earned a pair of track championships in 2019. He won those point titles at the Greenwood Valley Action Track and at Action Track USA in Kutztown and picked up more than a half-dozen feature wins along the way.

In 2020, the engineering major has recorded four wins (so far), with three coming at Greenwood and the other triumph was notched at Action Track USA. Miller is known for his hard charging, smoothly aggressive style. During this year’s final two nights of competition at Action Track USA, he flat-footed his mount around the top of the banking at both ends of the speedway in order to qualify for the features. With the laps winding down and positions needing to be gained, Miller would not give up or lift his heavy right foot off the throttle. He pounded the high groove in unrelenting fashion until his speed and momentum finally carried him to a heat win and a victory in the B-main.

It is that exciting and breath-taking style that will endear him to fans of the Rapid Tire Service USAC East Coast 360 Sprint Car series. The Miller team plans to attend all of the remaining events on the organization’s schedule as they prepare for a full season with the group in 2021.

Kenny will also continue to compete in select 600cc micro sprint races that do not conflict with the USAC East Coast Sprint Car schedule.

Sponsorship on the sprint car comes from Weikel’s Sportswear, Ken’s Cycle Repair, Becker Painting, and Café Waldorf.
