Close Championship Chases Come to Skagit Speedway Thursday During Thursday Night Thunder Presented by the Rayce Rudeen Foundation

Inside Line Promotions – ALGER, Wash. (Aug. 17, 2020) – A couple of points battles are heating up this summer at Skagit Speedway.

The Budweiser 360 Sprints and Skagit Aggregates Modifieds will both be a part of the Thursday Night Thunder presented by the Rayce Rudeen Foundation program – along with the Outlaw Tuners – this Thursday at the dirt oval. The championship is up for grabs in both divisions.

Devon Borden recently took over the top spot in the Budweiser 360 Sprints standings. Borden is the only multiple-race winner in the division this season as he posted victories on June 25 and July 30. Cam Smith is only 20 points back with Travis Jacobson, Chase Goetz and Colby Thornhill rounding out the top five in the standings, respectively.

The top five in the Skagit Aggregates Modifieds standings are separated by only 44 points. Adam Holtrop is 25 points ahead of Jeff Jansma. Ben Gunderson is 32 points out of the lead with Craig Moore only four markers behind Gunderson. Mike Steltz is a dozen points behind Gunderson.

The chase for the championship continues this Thursday when both divisions and the Outlaw Tuners, which is led by Rick Young, compete in an event that will only be shown via a live video stream. Spectators aren’t allowed in the grandstands in the state of Washington so Skagit Speedway will offer a broadcast at http://www.SkagitSpeedway.TV.

The price for the Pay-Per-View broadcast is only $24.95, which is the cost of one adult and one junior ticket at the track. Fans will need to visit the website and create a profile to be able to view the race. Payment and viewing instructions will follow.

Qualifying is at 6:45 p.m. (Pacific) with Opening Ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. and racing to follow.

The pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the drivers meeting at 6 p.m. Teams are recommended to bring hand sanitizer and anyone entering the pit area should follow the advised COVID-19 guidelines. If anyone is not feeling well or has a high temperature please stay home.
