CMS Next for WAR as I-70 Invitational Approaches

Belleville, IL. (08/17/2020) Entering into the homestretch of the 2020 season for the POWRi Lucas Oil Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League, many marquee events are approaching rapidly. With added pay, “Border-War Bounties”, and a Top 24 in points event at I-70, various storylines aid in the excitement of the end-of-season push for the POWRi WAR Sprint League.

Next up for WAR competitors will be the first series visit since 2014 to the three-eighths-mile dirt-oval of Central Missouri Speedway, in Warrensburg, MO, on Saturday, August 22nd. Central Missouri Speedway Management and POWRi WAR officials are excited about this outstanding event and greatly encourage competitors and crews to read all guidelines and general information regarding the program. More information such as a designated pit parking map and the CMS memorandum for visiting leagues can be found online at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.

Then, the following weekend WAR will travel states for back-to-back nights of racing action. First invading Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday, August 28th then the League heads to Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri on Saturday, August 29th. Super Clean has stepped up to offer a “Border-WAR Bounty” of $500 to any driver that can win both feature events on the weekend.

The weekend of Labor Day and a trip to “The Lake” will follow for the POWRi WAR Sprint League for the running of the 2nd Annual Lake Ozark Speedway Non-Wing Nationals on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th. These two full-point events will mark the final races that drivers can alter their season standings heading into the “I-70 Motorsports Park Top-24 in Point’s WAR Invitational”.

Friday, September 11th, and Saturday, September 12th the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League as a support class to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will be limited to a field of twenty-four competitors. Top 24 drivers in the POWRi WAR 2020 season standings heading into this event will receive invitations. Competitors will then showcase three eight-lap heats with all drivers transferring into the Feature event, lineups will be based on the POWRi passing points system. More details and drivers committed to competing will be released as the race date approaches.
