Belleville, IL. (08/17/2020) Battling on a smooth-slick quarter-mile racing surface on a hot and hazy Fort Morgan Colorado night, the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would tackle the tricky I-76 Speedway in wingless competition. Picking up his fifth win on the 2020 RMLS season, Johnny Boos continues to ride the wave of successes this year while tightening the gap in the overall championship standings.
Running without the downforce of a wing for the fifth time this year the POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would hit the track with thirteen competitors all attempting to find the fastest line and pick up the feature win. In close quarters racing, Johnny Boos #24 would out-maneuver all other motorists on his way to the feature victory with Dakota Dillon #39x hot on his heels finishing in the runner-up positioning. Series point-leader Chris Crower #26 continues to add to his steadiness streak but rounding out the podium finishers at I-76 Speedway.
Saturday, August 29th the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints will be back in action to take on the fast lap-times of I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This time around the RMLS’s will put the wing’s back on for outstanding racing action. Come on out to the always smooth fast quarter-mile and see some great racing with Pit-Gates opening at 2:00 PM, Grandstands open at 3:30 PM with Hot-Laps starting at 5:00 PM racing to follow.
