Power Series Nationals gets BIG boost at Huset's

August 6, 2020: After an immensely successful return to racing last Sunday, plenty of eyes are on the Huset’s Speedway to see how they follow it up the rest of 2020. Today, Midwest Power Series , along with MSTS, are pleased to offer a glimpse into that answer as far as 360 racing is concerned. The Dekalb/Asgrow seed Power Series Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores will be one of the highest paying 360 sprint car shows in the region. Friday, September 18 will offer the winner $5,000 for their efforts, along with $400 just to start the main event. The Championship feature on Saturday, September 19th will offer a $10,000 prize to become champion of the inaugural Power Series Nationals. The feature race will pay $500 just to start as well.

For Midwest Power Series, this will be the first event ever held for the series at Huset’s Speedway. The race track had been dormant since early in the 2017 season until very recently. It’s been widely publicized that the current owner of the Jackson Motorplex, Tod Quiring, has purchased the facility in the last month. Quiring and staff hosted their first event with the All Star Circuit of Champions on Sunday, August 2. With large fields of cars and a packed grandstand, the event was considered a success by all publications and race fans in attendance. In addition to the winners purse, Broty Racing Engines will offer $100 to each heat race winner. Midwest Power Series and GRP Motorsports are working with potential sponsors to offer a clean sweep bonus to any driver who can win both features on the weekend.

MSTS have been to the Huset’s Speedway 15 times in their history, with Tim Kaeding taking five of those victories. This will be the first visit for the series to the Brandon, SD track since 2016. Some of the biggest names in all of racing have won events with MSTS at Huset’s, including Bryan Clauson, Terry McCarl, Justin Henderson, Aaron Reutzel, and others. MSTS will offer contingency prizes for the hard charger courtesy of Autoland in Sioux Falls. A+ towing will also offer a hard luck award, as they do at all MSTS events.

In addition to the MPS/MSTS 360s, the undercard for the event will be the IMCA Racesaver Sprints. This class will pay a whopping $1,000 to win on Saturday.
