Jim Friday night in the 410 sprint main at Lernerville Speedway brought the Carl Bowser #87 home in 14th place. Carl Bowser chased AJ Flick to the finish line and finished second. Just two weeks ago Jim raced the #87 for the first time in 2020 at Lernerville Speedway. Jim's last race was the Kings Royal with the World of Outlaws in July of 2019. So with little seat time and a different car then Jim's 10P it was a night of learning. Jim would not make the A Main that night but understood better what it would take to make him feel more comfortable in the car. Carl would go on and win the feature two weeks ago and it was a great night for the team. Friday July 31st gave Jim a second run in the #87. Feeling more confident and ready to hit the track, the car was much faster. Jim would finish 6th in the heat race. But with Gary Kreiss having a very bad flip in the heat race off of turn two and some other cars having some issues Jim made the A Main. Jim started 17th and would finish 14th. Jim was as high as 12th but faded at the end. With two laps to go, Sye Lynch raced out of turn 4 on the outside and Jim was just to the inside of him. Sye caught the fence and went for a wild series of flips down the front straight away past the flag stand. Jim was right behind him and was lucky he stayed along the fence or Jim would of drilled him. We are happy all drivers and Sye are okay. Overall, a big thanks to the Carl Bowser, crew Cody and Jeff for getting the #87 ready and much balanced for a decent run for Jim. Our next race is August 7th for the Fab4 at Lernerville.
