Bryan Hulbert – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 23, 2020) Back at I-30 Speedway on Saturday, July 25, the ASCS Mid-South Region will headline action once again at the Arkansas quarter-mile.
The second round of action at I-30 Speedway since re-opening from the COVID-19 shutdown, the continuing presence of the virus has prompted local officials to require face masks to be worn to enter the facility.
The track posted the following earlier this week, “Due to the new mandate; you will be required to wear a mask when entering the premises (wear a mask when buying a ticket/armband). Once inside, it is up to you to wear a mask or social distance.”
Going into this Saturday’s showdown, Joseph Miller holds a slim eight-point margin on the 2020 season standings with Matt Covington and Chase Randall in tow. Unclear, if the National Tour regulars will take in the Mid-South Regional event, that leaves the door wide open for Ernie Ainsworth to close the gap as well as Brad Bowden, who is only 51 points back.
Opening at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, the action at I-30 Speedway is slated to begin at 7:30 P.M. (CT) and includes IMCA Modifieds, Dixon Road U-Pull-It Factory Stocks, IMCA Super Stocks, and Powder Puff. Admission is $20 for adults with Kids 12 and under free thanks to Dove Plumbing. I-30 Speedway is located on the I-30 Frontage Road, eastbound at Exit 126. More information on the Speedway can be found at https://www.i-30speedway.com or by calling (501) 455-4567.
