Belleville, IL. (07/20/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints were back at Lake Ozark Speedway this past Saturday night. Thanks to Tim Trimble and his crew for having the POWRi MLS back to their premier racing facility. Special thanks to Rod End Supply and Oskvig Accounting for continued sponsorship of the Midwest Lightning Sprints.
As the green flag racing action heated up to match the intensity of the “Lake” temperatures, the POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints continue to raise the bar of great racing action at Lake Ozark Speedway. Ken Billings #85 and Stanley Kreisel #18 would both claim heat race victories in early racing as fifteen drivers would check into the pits. Mark K. Billings #51 would race his way to the front of the field from a third starting spot to claim his first feature victory of 2020.
Billings wasn’t without company though as Chase Fischer #22 would be in hot pursuit all evening, never quite gaining enough speed to surpass the leader Billings, placing second in the event. MLS Point Leader Stanley Kreisel #18 would also throw his hat into the ring of front-runners rounding out the podium. Tyler Johnson #7 would earn the hard-charger award for his racing efforts, driving from an eleventh starting spot to place fourth as Tom Brown #b20 placed fifth.
