Friday night, Shane Stewart and his ROCKSTAR/Makita team checked into the Jackson Speedway for the ASCS Midwest Region’s Jackson Spring Nationals in Jackson, Minnesota and proceeded to dominate the event as he picked up his first regional win of the season.
Sharing the front row with Wayne Johnson, Stewart powered his Finley Farms/Lucas Oil Products/Wesmar machine to the early lead, where he quickly opened up a sizeable lead.
Stewart’s quick start, grew to a dominant pace as he quickly encountered lapped traffic.
The current Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour points leader carved his way through traffic to perfection, as he was never seriously challenged through the race.
At the stripe it was Stewart picking up the popular win with Jason Johnson scoring second, and Wayne Johnson grabbing the third position.
“This ROCKSTAR/Makita/A.R.T. was on a rail all night,” remarked Shane. “Paul and my guys gave me a great car and it feels good to be back in victory lane.
The night got off to a great start for Shane, as he picked up the win in his heat race transferring him directly into the feature event.
