Inside Line Promotions – WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (July 13, 2020) – Scott Bogucki is eager to get back to the race track after enduring a frustrating ending to his most recent race.

The SawBlade.com sponsored driver was unable to finish the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event at Riverside International Speedway last Saturday after contact midway through the main event.

“The track was wet and greasy,” he said. “I wasn’t very good in the heat race and ran fifth. We were really, really good in the B Main. Then I got it too tight for the grease in the A Main.”

Bogucki advanced from seventh to fifth place in his heat race before he won a B Main from the pole position. That locked him into the 18th starting position for the main event during his debut at the oval.

“I think we got up to 13th,” he said. “I got caught up as we were racing a couple of cars wide and got tagged by a guy. It broke the right front radius rod. I went up the track and stopped, then got hit by another car. It was disappointing because I think we would have ran in the top 10.”

Next up is an ASCS National Tour event at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., this Friday. Bogucki placed fifth during a regional race at the high-banked track last year.

“It’s a lot of fun, that place,” he said. “It’s really fast.”

This weekend wraps up with a race on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where Bogucki was victorious for the first time earlier this month.

“I haven’t been able to get a lot of laps in the past couple of years at Knoxville,” he said. “The 360 Nationals last year was only my second time there last year. I think we’ll be there each week through the Nationals. If we can have the same speed as we did last week we should be really good. I finally have a race car that races in the feature. That’s something I struggled with for a long time so to finally have that good of a car is big.”
