PERU, Ind. (July 5, 2020) - Brandon Rose, Darin Naida, Aidan Salisbury, Joe Leek, Carter Whaley and JJ Williams each rode to victory during NOW600 Hi Plains Building Division Weekly Racing on Saturday night at Circus City Speedway.
80 entries were on hand featuring 28 Non-Wing Outlaws, 4 Winged Outlaws, 17 Senior Class, 22 A-Class, 4 Restricted Class and 5 Junior Sprints.
NON-WING OUTLAW >> $1,000 was on the line during the Firecracker 40 for the Non-Wing Outlaw class which seen Brandon Rose picking up the win from fifth. Camden Winter was second with Eastin Ashbrook finishing in the third spot. Sam Kimmel from 18th made it up to fourth and Jordan Calendine the top five.
Russ Gamester, Beau Brandon, Barbie Maynard, Tyler Chalk and Conner Lane were the top ten.
Eastin Ashbrooke, Camden Winter, Jonathan Bullick and Brandon Rose each won a heat race. Adam Walker topped the B-Main event.
OUTLAW >> Darin Naida took the top step of the podium in Winged Outlaw competition. Reece Saldana was second with Caden Englehart third and Ty Englehart fourth.
Naida also won the lone heat race.
A-CLASS >> Aidan Salisbury picked up the A-Class feature event win. Gunnar Setser was second across the line with Mason Hannagan the podium. Fourth went to 11 starting Blake Lamb. Beau Brandon rounded out the top five from 19th.
Brenton Lamb, Jonathan Bullick, Shawn Bartley, Clayton Maynard and Aiden Williamson the top ten.
Bullick, Setser and Brenton Lamb were heat race winners.
SENIOR CLASS >> Joe Leek from the pole picked up Saturday's Senior Non-Wing feature event win. Marv Haphner was second with Jason Ohara finishing in third. Fourth went to Cory Ebersole with Brian Myers the top five.
Wes Bigger, Steve Heady, Ron Hinkle, Clarence Hoch and Shaun Miller were the top ten.
Haphner, Leek and Ohara each won heat races.
RESTRICTED CLASS >> Carter Whaley swept the night in Restricted 'A' Class competition. Easton Zent was second with Hayden McKnight the field.
JUNIOR SPRINTS >> JJ Williams grabbed the Junior Sprint win. JD Kimmel was second with Brayton Goble third. Fourth went to Myles Bartley and Mya Williamson the field.
Williams also won the lone heat race.
Circus City Speedway will sit idle on July 11 and will return to action on July 15-18 for the Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship.
