Bellville, IL. (06/28/2020) Back at their pristine home facility of I-35 Speedway in Winston Missouri, the POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints would once again be treated to a fast and smooth racing surface all night with fast lap times and great energetic racing. Putting down a blistering pace, Stanley Kreisel would continue to assert his lightning sprint legacy gaining his third win this racing season.
After early wins in heat race competition #18 Stanley Kreisel and #71 Jeff Bard both would appear to be the fastest drivers entered into the night’s event. With Bard leading the field to the initial green, Kreisel would waste no time to find his way to the prized-position. Notching his third win on the young season, Stanley would also gain the overall points advantage for the MLS. Bard would stay in the hunt for the front with Ken Billings #85 and Tyler Johnson #7 in hot pursuit. Billings would use a low-line hustle to gain the second spot with Johnson following suite to finish third. Jeff Bard would settle nicely into the fourth position to end the night as Brandon Smith #11 rounded out the feature’s top-five. Smith sits second in the season standings as the only other MLS feature winner in 2020 Chase Fischer #22 remains in striking distance in third place for the year.
