PETERSEN MEDIA- Friday night at the LA Raceway in LaMonte, MO, Haley Arnold overcame a late race spin to charge her way up to a fifth place finish aboard her Arnold Motorsports 305ci sprint car.
The night got off to a great start for the lady racer as she started on the pole of her heat race and proceeded to dominate the event, qualifying her for the feature event where she would start on the front row.
As the feature got underway, Haley got the jump and began distancing herself from the rest of the pack as she was the only one who found the top of turns 1 and 2 early on.
Haley continued to set the pace the duration of the race until the 13th lap, when she entered the third and fourth turns a little too hot, and sent her Mid-Mo Auto Sales/Impact Signs entry into a spin bringing out the caution.
Poised to get back to the front, Haley utilized the top side of the track and worked her way back up to the fifth spot as the checkered flag flew on the event.
“This night was awesome tonight, but unfortunately I just messed up and cost my team the win,” said Arnold. “I cant thank my crew, Miranda, my mom, dad, Justyn, Stewart, Josh, and Kelley, for all their hard work tonight. Without them this night wouldn’t be possible and I am very thankful for them.”
