Thursday night in McCool Junction, Nebraska, Shane Stewart piloted his Silva Motorspots/ROCKSTAR/Makita/A.R.T. to a fourth place finish after lining up in the seventh spot during the feature event.
As the night wore on, the track stayed in great shape and the fans were treated to a hair-raising display of drivers utilizing the tip top of the racing surface at Junction Motor Speedway
Starting in the seventh spot, Shane jockeyed his Lucas Oil Products/Finley Farms/Probilt Construction entry to the top of the track where he worked his way toward the top five.
By the eight circuit, Shane had gotten passed Billy Alley to grab the fifth spot, and began to track down Don Droud, Jr for the fourth position.
As laps continued to click off Stewart continued to put heavy pressure on Droud, Jr as his Palmero Properties/Cross Creek Trucking/Wesmar powered machine was hooked to the top of the track.
On the 16th lap, Stewart was able to take over the fourth spot as he slipped under Don Droud, Jr.
Over the next nine laps, Shane and Sprint Car Hall of Famer, Danny Lasoski, put on quite a display as they wrestled for the third spot.
Shane continued to hound Lasoski but just could not get the opening he needed to grab the third spot and held on to the fourth position.
“This track was crazy fast on the high side,” said Shane. “We got going forward pretty good early, and were all over Lasoski, but he was good tonight, and we just never got an opening. This ROCKSTAR/Makita car has been strong lately and we’ll be back to get them tomorrow night at I 80.”
Shane and his Silva Motorsports team thank ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK, Makita Industrial Power Tools, Lucas Oil Products, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, Pro Bilt Construction, Palmero Properties, Cross Creek Trucking, Finley Farms, Car and Fleet, Race Gear X, OMP Racing, Wesmar Racing Engines, McColloch’s RV, Shift Creative, Amerikote, XYZ, Hoosier Tire, Pro, Banshee Graphics, Dan Olson Products, K&N Filters, RE Technologies, Weld, Schoenfeld Headers, Butlerbuilt Seats, Vortex Wings, CP Pistons, Cometic Gaskets, Huggins Cams BR Ignitioneering and Seven Industries for their partnership in 2011.
ON TAP: Up next for Shane and his ROCKSTAR/Makita team will be a trip to the I 80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska for another go-round with the ASCS Midwest Region. When Shane was there over the Memorial Day holiday he tallied a fifth place finish after starting deep in the field.

SPONSOR SHOUT-OUT: Dan Olson Racing Products
Dan Olson Racing Products has been designing and manufacturing components for all types of racing since 1969. In Dan’s early years as an engine builder, he realized that the oil pan did far more than just hold oil. He discovered the importance controlling the oil while it was in the oil pan. Through trial and error he also learned that baffling the pans not only controlled the oil for added horsepower, but decreased oil temperature as well. Today, more than 40 years later, we are still at it; designing and developing oil pans and many other high quality racing products to suit your racing needs. From that simple beginning, Dan’s company has grown into one of the leading manufacturers of oil pans, zoomie headers, marine oil coolers, wings, and other racing products.
