Belleville, IL. (06/24/2020) In the first stand-alone event of the 2020 racing season, the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League will travel to I-44 Riverside Speedway on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.
For the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League, seven edge-of-your-seat co-sanctioned events have been completed with the POWRi National Midgets. Having already competed at I-44 Riverside twice this season in the Seventh Annual Turnpike Challenge, where Logan Seavey and Michael “Buddy” Kofoid would both claim feature wins at the ultra-fast Oklahoma racetrack.
The POWRi West Midget League point’s battle wages on with Jake Neuman #3n continuing to lead the West Midget League as well as the National Midget League with outstanding consistent showings. Andrew Felker #44s has mounted a charge for a chance to repeat as point’s champion setting in the runner-up spot, as the front-running push of rookie-of-the-year contender Trey Gropp #00 rounds out the podium for the POWRi West season standings.
Slated on the docket of fast racing excitement to also compete are the always exciting POWRi Micro’s with Jr. Sprint, Restricted, A-Class Wing, and Non-Wing Micros all scheduled for side-by-side action this Saturday, June 27th.
I-44 Riverside Speedway pits will be open at 4:30 pm with driver’s meeting scheduled for 5:45 pm. Wheel Pack Begins at 6 pm with hot-laps and racing action to follow.

All POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League standalone events are double points. POWRi West will follow up this Saturday’s event with a two-day show, co-sanctioned with RMMA at Airport Speedway in Garden City, KS on July 3rd and 4th.
