Crouch Sees Some Success During Pavement Debut in South Carolina

Inside Line Promotions – EASLEY, S.C. (May 21, 2020) – Brenham Crouch contended for a top-10 finish last Friday when he made his pavement debut.

Crouch piloted a limited late model at Greenville Pickens Speedway, where the team was met with mechanical woes throughout qualifying and the main event.

“It’s definitely a lot different than dirt,” Crouch said. “It will take some getting used to, but we learned a lot. Hopefully it will slow us down in the micro and midget stuff on dirt as well.”

Crouch timed in 17th quickest, which lined him up in that position for the 100-lap main event.

“We moved into the top 10 before the engine started to give in,” he said. “We made a pitstop due to a faulty mic and went back out, but the car ended up dying under caution so that ended our night on Lap 37.”

Crouch was credited with a 14th-place result.

Next up is a return to dirt this Friday and Saturday at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. Crouch will make his outlaw non-wing micro sprint debut during the T-Town Showdown.

“We are going to practice our Keith Kunz midget on Thursday and then get to watch the midgets race this weekend,” he said. “Racing at Port City this weekend will give us some laps on the track prior to our midget races next week. It will be a stacked field this weekend. My goal is to run in the top five. That’d be a great accomplishment.”

Crouch will make his debut with Keith Kunz Motorsports the following weekend during a four-race stretch in Oklahoma.
