Daison Pursley Conquers in POWRi Midget iRacing League Championship

Belleville, IL. (05/08/2020) Initially an idea as a way for POWRi competitors to pass the time until they could get back to the joys of real-world dirt track racing quickly morphed into a full-fledged racing venture for many drivers. Rich with outstanding side-by-side racing and nail-biting photo-finishes week-in and week-out, the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget iRacing League inaugural six-week season has drawn to a conclusion as #09 Daison Pursley emerges the season champion.

Gaining valuable reaction-time experiences in a simulation setting that can ultimately convey to their driving arsenal, wheeler’s of a multitude of divisions entered the weekly events that averaged over sixty. When the final checkers were shown and the points tallied, it was two-time feature winner #09 Daison Pursley the victor. Winning at the Chili Bowl and Lanier National Speedway, Pursley would also place in the runner-up position on three occasions making a statement in the season standings. Emerson Axsom #42, would use consistency to stay in the chase, averaging a top-ten finish for the season. Emerson’s championship quest would be one spot short though, placing second by twenty-five points. Skyrocketing up the standings over the final few races, #7 Jacob Denney would place third on the season only thirty-four points back. Denney would average a fifth-place finish or better in the final three events. Perennial front-runner #4 Robert Dalby placed fourth on the season, behind the leader by fifty-eight points, just shy of placing in the top-ten in all six events. Dalby would impress all with an average finish of 11th for the simulation season. Week-One winner at Learnerville Speedway, #37 Aiden Purdue would round out the point’s championship top five, seventy-two points back from Pursley.

Through winning the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget iRacing League Championship Pursley is now the proud recipient of a cash prize, a case of Lucas Oil, a case of Super Clean, a Lucas Oil Slick Mist detailing kit, a $50 Keizer Wheel certificate, and a $50 Smith Titanium certificate. Congratulations on an outstanding showing all season to this top-tier talent.

The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget iRacing League would like to thank all competitors and behind-the-scenes officials that helped out or entered to make these events possible.
