Lucas Oil ASCS At Creek County and Lakeside Speedway Cancelled Due To Continuing COVID-19 Restrictions

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (April 28, 2020) Unfortunately, officials at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. have had to cancel their events with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network during the month of May.

Scheduled for Thursday, May 28 (Lakeside) and Saturday, May 30 (Creek County) the current timeline of events being able to operate in Kansas and Oklahoma with fans and teams in place has prohibited the events from going forward. As of now, the two events will not be rescheduled.

“The states are starting to reopen and we are hoping things progress faster than planned, but after talking with our local and state officials, the uncertainty of when we can actually operate at a capacity that allows us to have fans in the stands and teams in the pits is still unknown,” stated Creek County Speedway owner, Emmett Hahn.

Event updates will be posted to http://www.ascsracing.com as well as our Social Media Outlets on Facebook and Twitter (@LucasOilASCS). We will also issue emails to our E-News Letter, which anyone can sign up for at https://bit.ly/3cTRbCq.
