Belleville, IL. (04/24/2020) Continuing to put on a one-of-a-kind entertaining event each week, the POWRi Midget iRacing League will now move to the simulated stretches of Lanier National Speedway. Starting Tuesday, April, 27th at 7 pm CST, virtual wheelmen of all aspects will try to tackle this super-wide, ultra-fast, 3/8 mile oval of digital dirt in hopes of glory.
With two races left in the impromptu POWRi Midget iRacing League inaugural season, the point’s standings now has a new face atop the throne as familiar racing rivals stay within striking distance for the season championship. Last week’s winner #09 Daison Pursley rides momentum straight to the top of the leader boards this week as Pursley picked up one win and two runner-up finishes in the previous three events for Team TUHB. Emerson Axsum #42 stays steady and ready in the second position, keeping the chase close just 16 points back. Robert Dalby #4 continues to climb with consistent showings each week, notching a third top-ten finish and moving to third on the season, Dalby is now only 29 points behind the leader Daison. Jetting up this week’s eSports standings, with an average finish of sixth on the season, is # Jeffrey Denney now back just 31 points. Week one winner #37 Aiden Purdue, only 35 points out of first, rounds out the top-five in points heading into week five for the POWRi Midget iRacing League Season Championship.
As the POWRi Midget iRacing League ventures to the virtual world of Lanier National Speedway on Tuesday night, featuring both simulated and physical competitors, the POWRi Midget iRacing League will continue as an open registration at this time. Rooms open at 7:00 pm CST. Drivers must be present and ready to enter at that time to gain entry with only 64 spots available for competitors. Any current POWRi League drivers planning on participating who have not registered should message POWRi West Midget League on Facebook via Eric Fenton.
