I-90 Speedway and the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series each continue to prepare for the upcoming 2020 racing season.
Management of both entities continue to monitor the current pandemic. Various orders remain in place for South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota to protect from COVID-19. Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties in South Dakota are under the state’s most strict executive order directing adults over the age of 65 and anyone with an underlying health condition to remain home. I-90 Speedway is in Minnehaha County. MSTS is based in Minnehaha County.
“We want to get racing just like everyone else,” said Lyle Howey III of I-90 Speedway. “But we have to carefully consider the safety of our fans, our teams and our staff. We’re receiving the latest updates on the virus and our restrictions, and we’ll take things day-by-day until we know it is allowable and responsible to hold an event.”
The first scheduled event for MSTS is May 8 at Rapid Speedway. The 2020 campaign is scheduled to begin the following night for I-90 Speedway.
