Travis Schreurs wins SoDak iRacing opening

Travis Schreurs took the lead just after the halfway point in Wednesday’s race from the virtual Knoxville Raceway. The event started the 10-race series for the SoDak iRacing League presented by Jordan Opdahl Construction. All ten events will be broadcast live on the Advantage Racing TV Facebook page.

A total of 47 drivers checked into the event representing South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.

Tanner Koster led the opening 23 circuits of the A-main before losing the lead to Schreurs. In the final laps, Koster would exchange slide jobs with Nate Barger, Tyler Johnson and John Kutz. At the checkered it was Johnson and Koster joining Schreurs on the podium.

The SoDak iRacing League features drivers from the Upper Midwest. Many of those drivers are regulars with the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series, I-90 Speedway and the RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Models Series.

The next event is from the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Drivers begin practice at 7:15 p.m. CT. The broadcast on the Advantage Racing TV Facebook page will go live around 8 p.m. and time trials start at 8:15.
