Belleville, IL. (04/10/2020) If the previous two events featuring the POWRi Midget iRacing League are any inclination of what’s in store for the rest of this eSports series season, then the next event at Fairbury American Legion Speedway should provide dirt-racing fans with an endless supply of edge-of-your-recliner excitement.
Continuing on Tuesday, April 14th at 7 pm the weekly iRacing events, organized by the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League, will feature both simulated and physical competitors vying for the top spot. At this week’s venue, fans will enter the virtual realm of Fairbury American Legion Speedway, the ¼ mile semi-banked digital dirt oval known for tight racing and thrilling photo finishes.
Reaching the mid-point of the season for the POWRi Midget iRacing League, a highly contested point’s battle has surged forth with the top five drivers separated by less than twenty-five points. By using an average finishing spot of seventh, the Indiana-teenage-wheelman, Emerson Axsom sits atop the series standings by the narrowest of margins. Sitting only two points back is the season standings with an average finish of eighth finds Jeffrey Denney, poised to make a run for a championship. Robert Dalby, only eight points back of the leader, currently runs third in the standings with Race #1 winner Aiden Purdue(-10) fourth, and Kenny Miller(-22) rounding out the top five so-far this POWRi iRacing season.
Tuesday night’s POWRi Midget iRacing League will continue as an open registration at this time. Rooms open at 7:00 pm CST. Drivers must be there ready to enter at that time to gain entry with only 64 spots available for competitors. Any current POWRi League drivers planning on participating who have not registered should message POWRi West Midget League on Facebook via Eric Fenton.
