Petersen Media- Beebe, Arkansas- During the first three rounds of USCS Speedweek, Tim Crawley had been the man to beat winning the first three rounds. On Thursday night, making his first USCS start of the season, Shane Stewart shared the front row with Crawley and out gunned his Lucas Oil ASCS National Series rival and picked up his second consecutive win aboard his ROCKSTAR/Makita entry at the Beebe Speedway in Beebe, AR.
When the feature event got under way, it was Shane getting the advantage from his pole position, and quickly distanced himself from Crawley. As Shane continued to set the pace his Finley Farms/Lucas Oil Products/Cross Creek Trucking mount looked strong as he found his way into lapped traffic.
Once into traffic on the 15th lap, Shane found himself using both the high and low sides of the track allowing the second running Crawley to move in on the rear bumper of the Palmero Properties/Pro Bilt Construction/A.R.T. car.
As the duo diced threw traffic, Crawley was actually able to get past Shane, but the yellow flag waved on lap 18 slowing the pace and put Stewart back up front with clear track ahead of him.
The waving of the green flag saw Stewart and Crawley continue to put on an excellent battle as the two motored away from the rest of the pack. As the ROCKSTAR/Makita/Wesmar No.57 continued to show the way, Crawley continuously attempted to get a run but was un able to get passed the current Lucas Oil ASCS National point leader.
As the checkered flag waved, it was Shane picking up the win in his Paul Silva prepared machine with Crawley finishing behind him.
“This ROCKSTAR/Makita/A.R.T. was bad fast tonight,” said Shane. “The last few nights we’ve been out we’ve been really good and I can’t thank Paul enough for giving me such awesome race cars. It was fun tonight racing with Tim. He’s been really strong with these guys the last few nights, and was good tonight as well.”
Shane and his Silva Motorsports team would like to thank ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK, Makita Industrial Power Tools, Lucas Oil Products, A.R.T.
