Kraig Kinser Heads to Kansas this Weekend Belleville High Banks & Lakeside Speedway on Tap

By Parsons Motorsports PR

Granger, IA—June 1, 2011—Blazing fast speeds and scorching hot temperatures will be the name of the game this weekend for Kraig Kinser and rest of the World of Outlaws, as the series returns to the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas for the first time since 1981 on Friday, June 3, followed by stop at Lakeside Speedway near Kansas City also in Kansas, for the second consecutive year on Saturday, June 4. Belleville is dubbed as the “World’s Fastest Half-mile,” while the flat half-mile at Lakeside also lends itself to some breathtaking speeds and thrilling racing.

Kinser, who continues his first season aboard the Casey’s General Store Maxim for Parsons Motorsports, finished fifth at Lakeside last season, which marked one of two Top-10 finishes in the state of Kansas for the third generation driver in 2010. The World of Outlaws will compete at three different tracks in the state this season.

Kraig raced for the first time at Lakeside Speedway in 2003, finishing a very solid eighth. He returned to the half-mile last season, earning the KSE Hard Charger Award as he came from the 13th starting spot to score the Top-Five finish.

Kinser will be making his debut at the Belleville High Banks, where the World of Outlaws have competed just once, back in 1981, three years before the third generation driver was even born. He has raced at four different tracks in the state of Kansas in his career.

The native of Bloomington, Ind. heads into the weekend 11th in the World of Outlaws championship standings, on the strength of six Top-10 finishes. He was on his way to a Top-10 finish on Memorial Day at I-96 Speedway, before getting upside in the late going, while finishing 14th last Friday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Kraig on the Belleville High Banks:
“That is an extremely fast and high banked track and things happen in a hurry. You certainly have to have track position there and qualifying in the right spot and starting up front in a heat will be very important. It takes a lot of horsepower there along with a good set up and the driver has to hit his marks as well. It’s always good to go tracks you haven’t raced at before and ones that the series hasn’t been to for a while. The turnout should be very good. There are some great fans in the state of Kansas.”

Kraig on Lakeside Speedway:
“We had a very good run at Lakeside last year and both times I’ve been there, I’ve run pretty well. It’s a pretty flat track and usually there is lot of room to race on it. It will be nice to have a two race weekend. We just need to get some races in and some laps under our belt so that this whole Casey’s General Store team can get into a rhythm.”
