Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (March 9, 2020) – Trey Starks will make his racing debut in Alabama this weekend when the USCS Series visits North Alabama Speedway.
“I have been in the state of Alabama, but not to race,” he said. “I think we drove through it. I love going to new places and it seems like we adapt well to new places.”
The Gobrecht Motorsports driver will tackle the bullring in Tuscumbia on Friday and Saturday.
“I think if everything goes according to plan we can have a successful weekend,” he said. “I think it’s not out of the question to be in contention to win each night. I’m confident in our equipment.”
Starks has four starts this season – all at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., last month – highlighted by one top 10.
“We got back in a 360 at a new track there, which is the same thing we’ll be doing this weekend,” he said. “There were a lot of changes that need to be made in Florida. Hopefully we’re closer to where we need to be from when we unload. Florida racing is pretty unique and has its own type of surfaces. The race tracks are different. But I think some of the adjustments we made will apply.”
Starks has captured a handful of USCS Series victories in his career. He scored two triumphs in Georgia in 2018, one in Florida in 2017, two in South Carolina and two in North Carolina in 2016, and one in Florida and one in South Carolina in 2015.
