2020 Season Campaign Set for the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Series

Belleville, IL. (3/4/2020) Entering into their first full season under the POWRi brand, the Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Series is excited to get the 2020 action started. Reveling an ambitious 28 race-date venture during the course of the summer months now competing under the unified POWRi rule-package.

Based out of the North Dakota and Minnesota area, the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will continue to operate with Jason Berg, the series owner, remaining as head of the series. As part of the POWRi Racing League organization, POWRi provides a point fund for each individual division, offering competitors enhanced opportunities to grow within their respective league and series.

The Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will officially start their inaugural POWRi season with a three-day send-off, featuring opening night action on Friday, May 22nd at MKLS’ first of two visits on the year to Red River Valley Speedway. Then, on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th the series heads to Buffalo River Race Park to wrap up the weekend of Lightning Sprint racing.

Featuring fantastic feature racing from ten venues in 2020, the Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will split time between the borders of the peace-garden and gophers states. Minnesota’s Greenbush Speedway will placate as the primary facility for the POWRi MKLS, hosting eight race-dates including the highly-awaited Lightning Sprint Special August 29th.

Presenting five events in 2020 River Cities Speedway will share a bulk of hosting duties this upcoming season with Buffalo River Race Park offering another seven racing occasions. On July 9th-10th the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will swarm to south-central North Dakota for a weekend of racing under the Fair lights at Tri-County Speedway.

The 2020 POWRi MKLS will also face one-off racing endeavors at Sheyenne Speedway, Norman County Raceway, Jamestown Speedway, as well as the season finale at Devils Lake Speedway on September 19th.
