Craig Pellegrini of Buena, New Jersey will have a full plate for the upcoming 2020 racing season running with a variety of different series throughout the year. Last season Pellegrini was a full-time rookie on the Rapid Tire, USAC East Coast Sprint Car series making eight shows in 2019. Pellegrini finished out the season 16th in points, Second in Rookie of the Year Points.
Pellegrini had a career season high finishing position of 11th twice. Once at the Bedford Speedway and once at the Delaware International Speedway. Pellegrini was also the hard charger award winner at the Bedford Speedway.
In addition to the events with the USAC East Coast Series, Pellegrini made a winged 360 sprint car start at the Grandview Speedway, along with a USAC National Sprint Tour event at the Bridgeport Speedway.
For 2020, Pellegrini will find himself again full-time on the Rapid Tire, USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series trail competing in his sophomore season, and back in his original number of 27c after running 11a for the 2019 campaign.
In addition to the USAC East Coast Season, the eighteen year-old will make select USAC National Tour, World of Outlaws, and PA Speedweek events in 2020 with the recent acquisition of a 410ci engine to add to their busy schedule.
“Its been a long time, and I’ve busted my butt to try and make a name for myself” Pellegrini Stated. “But nothing helps you more than running with the best drivers in the country.”
