Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (Feb. 25, 2020) – Alex Hill is excited to kick off her 2020 racing season this Friday and Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back on the track this weekend,” she said. “It’s always a long offseason, but it was even longer this year since we didn’t race earlier this month in Florida like we usually do.”

The Hill’s Racing Team plans to follow the ASCS National Tour for the fourth consecutive year. However, this is the first year that Alex Hill doesn’t plan on competing at every event.

“I decided to skip a few ASCS races this year due to school and other reasons,” said Hill, who is in her junior year at California State Los Angeles and commutes to races from Los Angeles during the school year. “It won’t be many. I think there are about six or seven that I’ll miss. Our car will still compete for owner points when I’m not driving. Parker Price-Miller will drive our car when he’s available. Someone else, I’m not sure who yet, will fill in for me when Parker has other commitments.”

Hill also plans to compete at some non-ASCS events.

“We’re also planning to race in a couple of NRA Sprint Invaders races in Ohio along with a race at Ohsweken Speedway,” she said. “We’ll probably keep the car in California for a week after the ASCS race and race in Chico that following weekend.”

Hill’s season debut this weekend at the oval in Peoria, Ariz., will present a challenge since it’s not only her first competition in several months, but it’s also at a track she’s never seen.

“I was finally getting used to some of the tracks that we go to with ASCS,” she said. “Now this season begins with the first five races at tracks I’ve never seen. But that’s something we’re used to with all the traveling we do to race. We’ll give it our best like we always do.”

Hill is looking to build on 2019, which was her best season yet in racing.
“We had a good year last year and I thought I improved a lot as a driver,” she said. “I’m expecting to continue to improve this year.”
