DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 18, 2020) - The 2020 season for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division is set to open next Friday and Saturday, February 28 and 29 at the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
This will be the fifth season that the National Micros will open their campaign at the 1/4 mile oval northeast of the Dallas Metroplex.
All three premier National divisions will be in action: Stock Non-Wing, Winged A-Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class.
In the 2019 season opener, Frank Flud doubled up in A-Class and Non-Wing while Ryan Timms scored the Restricted Class victory on Friday night. While Saturday was a mist/fog out, the Sunday afternoon finale saw Anton Hernandez pick up the Non-Wing class win with Frank Flud victorious in A-Class and Ryan Timms winning Restricted.
Flud and Timms both went on to be the 2019 National Champions in their respective classes.
Both Friday and Saturday night season opener weekend for the Lucas Oil NOW600 National Series will also be the opening weekend for the NOW600 Hi Plains Building Division Ark-La-Tex and NOW600 Milestone TOWR Regions.
Teams will get a chance to checkout the Superbowl Speedway on Thursday night, February 27 with an open practice night.
Friday night will get underway at 7pm. NOW600 Pill Draw will take place from 4pm to 5:30pm and Drivers Meeting at 5:45pm.
Saturday night will get underway at 5pm. NOW600 Pill Draw will take place from 2pm to 3:30pm and Drivers Meeting at 3:45pm.
