Belleville, IL (January 9, 2020) Continuing with the traditions of previous seasons the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool 600cc Outlaw Micro League will primarily mirror race dates of the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. With eleven racing facilities in four states slotted for 2020 wing to wing micro battles.
Starting the season with the annual star-studded “Turnpike Challenge”. A multi-day/multi-track event spanning March 26 to March 29. Beginning the four day journey on Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK, Friday and Saturday will see the racing action travel down to Oklahoma City’s I-44 Speedway, then on Sunday, the trip wraps up at Port City Raceway in Tulsa OK.
After that, the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool 600cc Outlaw Micro League will travel east to Little Rock AR. at I-30 Speedway for the Little Rock Nationals April 17-18. Joining forces with the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League as well as the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West League’s setting up for one of the premier events of the season.
For a five day stretch in June, the Micro’s will travel to the Land of Lincoln for the Ninth Annual POWRi Illinois SPEED Week. Kicking off Wednesday, June 10th at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL, then on Thursday, June 11th the racing action continues at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL. Followed by Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, IL Friday, June 12th and Macon Speedway in Macon, IL Saturday, June 13th, ending the week of SPEED at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown IL on Sunday, June 14th.
Another popular event that has grown into a POWRi season staple will see Valley Speedway serve as host for the fourth annual running of “Thunder in the Valley” on July 11-12.
Various other venues are in store for 2020 such as multiple visits to Belle-Clair Speedway, Macon Speedway, Jacksonville Speedway, and Southern Illinois Speedway. Ultimately finalizing the season the weekend of October, 16-17 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa OK. For the Season Championship/Fall Fling.
