2020 Lucas Oil NOW600 National Micro Slate Revealed

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 13, 2019) - The 2020 slate for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division is set.

Entering the eighth season for the National Micros, the schedule will feature 30 races in five different states visiting 12 facilities. 2 events remain as TBA’s and will be released at a later date.

"It is crazy to think we are entering our eighth season of competition in 2020." commented NOW600 Series Founder Terry Mattox, “We are going to try something new with our schedule next season.” exclaimed Mattox. “We plan to get majority of our shows completed by Sooner 600 Week then have shows once a month from July to November with the exception of our summer break in August.”

The season will kick off on February 28 and 29 with the first of four trips to Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.

On Saturday-Sunday, March 7 and 8 the touring titans will return to the Spring Nationals at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma.

The following week is the three day 4th Annual Oil Capital Clash at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A two night TBA is on the schedule for April 10 and 11. Details and location will be released at a later time.

The series returns to action in Texas with the return to the RPM Speedway in Crandall on Friday, April 24 after a one year hiatus. The following night the Grayson County Speedway in Bells, Texas will host the soil scattering Micro Sprints on Saturday, April 25.

Friday, May 8 will be the first of two shows at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The night will also feature the Oil Capital Racing Series Sprint Cars.

Saturday, May 9 will be the inaugural visit to the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for the "Race for Chase and Rodney." This will also be the first time the NOW600 Series invades the state of Arkansas.

Memorial Day Weekend will feature three nights of action at two facilities in Southwest Kansas. On Friday, May 22 the series will take on the Little DCRP (Dodge City Raceway Park) in Dodge City, Kansas for the first time on the newly opened 1/5 mile inside of the famous 3/8 mile. On Saturday and Sunday, the series will travel over to the Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kansas for the series second appearance at the Midget and Micro Round Up.

The month of June will feature five nights of action for the fourth edition of the Sooner 600 Week.

Wednesday, June 10 the week kicks off with the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas. Thursday, June 11 the traveling caravan moves south to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Friday, June 12 it is off to the Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma. On Saturday, June 13 the fourth round of action will be highlighted at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma before wrapping up on Sunday, June 14 at Arkoma Speedway in Arkoma, Oklahoma.

July 17 and 18 will be the inaugural Summer Nationals at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas. This will also be the final weekend of National action in the state of Texas.

Tuesday, July 21 the Stock Non-Wing division will be featured with the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma for the annual Tuesday Night Thunder.

The National Micros will be taking the month of August off for both Knoxville 360 and 410 Nationals along with back to school time. As no races will be scheduled in August.

Back to Port City Raceway on Labor Day Weekend for the 21st running of the Pete Frazier Memorial on Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5. This event will award 100 show up points for all competitors.

The annual Fall Break visit to the Caney Valley Speedway will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 16-17.

The 2020 season will conclude for the third straight year at Arkoma Speedway in Arkoma, Oklahoma on Saturday-Sunday, November 7 and 8.

The 2020 National Champion in both Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing will each receive $2,000 while the Restricted Champion will be paid $1,000.
