After making seven of the eleven shows on the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series in 2019, fourteen year old rookie Connor Leoffler will make the jump to full time competition with the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series for the 2020 season.
Although Leoffler was not a full time competitor in 2019, there was no shortage of action for the young man from South Carolina. Multiple trips were made by the team in 2019 from the deep south, to the north east, to the mid west competing in a variety of different divisions.
Leoffler made starts in 360 sprint car competition with a number of different series including the United Racing Club, and the USCS Sprint Car Series and of course, the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series. Leoffler made multiple starts in D2 midget competition in the south, along with many trips to the mid west. Leoffler also made some starts in Indiana in wingless sprint car competition, including the high banked and fast, Lawrenceburg Speedway. Speed is seemingly no fear factor for the teenage driver as three of his five top ten finishes came at the bigger tracks on the series schedule. Leoffler ended the series schedule off on a strong note with his only top five five finish of the season coming at the season finale at the Delaware International Speedway.
The young South Carolina Hotshoe ended the season 11th in points in his first try at running with the series, and was the 2019 Rookie of the Year. Leoffler and team will be a great full time addition to the series in 2020 for a schedule that will be quite challenging for any driver featuring a variety of different tracks and surfaces.
