As the winter winds begin to overtake the track for this year, I wanted to give an update on the progress of Park Jefferson Speedway. Plans are underway for 2020’s racing season which will be the 7th under the Adamson family. After the purchase of the facility in the April of 2014, the track has continued to grow and improve thanks to the tireless work of so many staff and volunteers. 2020 looks to be another season to build upon the past success of the track. A number of events will return in 2020 including the Nebraska 360 vs MSTS events for the South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals on April 24-25, the Memorial Weekend Clash featuring the Nebraska 360 vs MSTS as well as an IMCA Modified Fast Shafts Qualifier, and the Midwest Madness Tour on June 27th. Park Jefferson is also working to finalize dates with the IMCA Dirt Knights tour and the USMTS series. IMCA Weekly racing featuring modifieds, sprint cars, stock cars, sport mods, hobby stocks and sport compacts is planned with a schedule featuring between 16-20 nights of racing again for the upcoming season. The final schedule will be ready sometime near the Sioux City swap meet in February.
Park Jefferson is looking for a new general manager to take the reins in 2020 as outgoing GM Rod Olson has chosen to step aside to head up the successful IMCA Midwest Madness Tour. Olson has been instrumental in building a strong IMCA program over the past 4 years building on the success of previous general managers Greg Golden and Josh Holt. The search for a new general manager is beginning now and interested parties should email adam@parkjeff.com.
Finally, in closing, we want to wish everyone a very happy holiday season and thanks to all of our fans, drivers and staff for your support.
